I went to Zambales / Olongapo for the weekend for a wedding. Along the way I decided that I should bring along my NX300 plus my new lens, the NX 30mm.
Along the way, there's the old house of former President Ramon Magsaysay. I stopped over to test this new camera-lens combo.

Sharpness
The Samsung 30mm can be very sharp (I used +2 sharpness in-camera). Check out the Statue of Ramon Magsaysay - I have nothing to complain about regarding the lens' sharpness here.
The next two shots were taken outside in bright sunny conditions. Notice the edge to edge sharpness.
Bokeh
Bokeh from the NX300 + 30mm is very pleasing too. Compare this with the bokeh I had with the Panasonic 20mm 1.7 - it is a one-sided affair. The Samsung 30mm 2.0 beats the Panny in terms of how pleasing the bokeh looks like at the widest aperture. Even if the Samsung is 2.0 and the Panny is 1.7, the Samsung wins. The Samsung also wins in terms of AF quickness. The Panny simply crawls almost to a halt in Low Light.
Post Processability and Summary
Simply put, post processability simply means a photo's ability to be edited/enhanced via post processing. The Panasonic 20mm 1.7 + micro four thirds combo in my opinion has a bit of trouble rendering low light colors accurately. I noticed they produce a reddish skin tone in low light, which is difficult to correct in post processing.
For me this NX30mm is the best pancake lens available right now for any system, and it beats out the Panasonic 20mm by a wide margin.
